Yes it's been FOREVER since I have posted anything on our blog - so not like me....but as you'll see with this post, we've been a little busy!!!
On
September 14th, Brae had a Silver Bullet game against Maple Valley - the kicked their behinds! Grandma & Grandpa came to watch too - we really appreciate their support!
September 18th - Braeden had a day free from practice.........so Carson & Casey came over...puzzles were the choice of the afternoon......

September 19th....Brae's game against the Benson Bruins (Renton)....their first loss.....but Brae sure looks good (he's #50)!

Ward Skate Night later that day.........Zach & Brae started with skates, but switched to roller blades....'cuz "It's weird to 4-wheel skate Mom....", to which I replied, "you don't like roller skates?" & Brae said, "what's that?" - man I'm old! I remember when roller blades were the new thing!

Ella LOVED it - her first time skating & she just took off!

Connor was pretty good too!
September 24th.......another free Thursday! Zach and Connor have been amazing this season, going to all of Brae's 3 hour practices - so this was Zach's day. We're at a new school this year & finally at a school with kids from our ward! There are 4 boys from the ward that Zach is good friends with at his school....and 3 of them are in his class! So the boys rode the bus home with Zach & their first activity? Football, 2-man touch of course! I was especially proud of our boys when they invited one of the neighbor boys to play that hasn't been so nice to them the past few months. They are good kids & all had fun together!

Holden, Derek, & Geo..........Zach K. was also here.

Allen & Carson played too....and one thing I love about our boys - they always include their brothers when they have a friend over!
Friday, September 25th.........the boys school Walk-a-thon! Zach had hurt his ankle earlier in the week, but still walked! Connor out-walked everyone else in Kindergarten (4 classes of kids!)....walking 6 laps (over 3 miles)! Brae ran most of the time - completing 12 laps - the most in his class!

Connor, Zach, Carson, & Brae......
Saturday, September 26th........I had checked FB & saw a post from a friend from our last ward in Auburn.....offering up 2 adult tickets to the Puyallup Fair......the kids get free tickets through school every year, so we went. We have never taken the kids before....it is SO expensive!!! We had fun though! Ella wanted to see the animals........she LOVED the sheep & piglets!

The weather was beautiful! It was so nice to have a day as a family....during the Fall, that doesn't happen often with the boys sports & Ty's ref'ing schedule!

Brae's teacher had told him about the Weird Al 3-D Brain Exhibit - the boys loved it!

This guy was carving this HUGE pumpkin when we first arrived........

A few hours later he was done & on to another one - WOW!

Each kid picked a game they wanted to play........Connor won a stuffed shark...

Zach was determined to win a guitar......and he actually got the dart in the star.....but aparently it was too close to the edge......so no guitar..........

Brae's attempt to knock over cups............we warned him it wasn't as easy as it looked!

The food we loved as kids............fair corn dogs & funnel cake..........YUM! Even with free entry, no rides, just a little food & one game each..........we spent close to $60 - this is why we don't go to the fair.........all the people that go over and over.....how do they do it? And last year one of the rides literally fell over.........so not a risk we want to take with our young kids..........so that's why we don't do the fair rides (on top of the insane cost!) We really did have a good time though - thanks Erin for the tickets!
September 27th - Brae's game against Enumclaw - beat them AGAIN, and on their home turf!!!
Monday, September 28th........(Ty's birthday)........how did we spend it?.....at Brae's silver bullet game against Puyallup of course! Tyler even ref'd the game to help them work on hearing the whistle........

Playin' right guard for only a couple minutes of the game..........it was a loss -I think the head coach got a ton of calls from parents.....a bunch of kids didn't even get in......We're not one of those parents though......we just vent to eachother! Hahaha!
Saturday, October 3rd..........Zach had a 4 team scrimmage tournament.......before the season started! Zach's on a new team this year, way more competitive, and is LOVING it! His coach is awesome! We knew switching to this team would possibly put Zach in a situation of not a lot of playing time, but we felt that it was a better fit - he is learning SO much! And the practice before this scrimmage his coach told us that Zach is a great player & is his starting Center! We knew Zach could hold his own! This team has been playing together for 3 years, so this is a big deal! They won each of the scrimmages that day! Later that day, Brae's friend Corey from his old school came over & so did Casey - it was fun to see them back together again!
Friday, October 9th..........we went to the BLHS football game, to watch Dion Bertch play & Kylie Koeller cheer.........it was fun - quite a few families from our ward were there.......Tyler even came with us on crutches.....because unfortunately he was hurt the night before in the Auburn-Kentridge game.......ref'ing.....
Ella with her friend Alexis.....

Connor with buddy Landon - they are in the same kindergarten class!
Saturday, October 10th.........Zach's first game.........they destroyed the other team, 27-0!

on the SAME Day........Brae played Maple Valley - he played Great!!!

winning, 12-2!
Monday, October 12th........Brae's Silver Bullet game against Enumclaw.......it was SO COLD!!! The winds were really strong that night too!

the Gray team scored the only 2 touchdowns of the game........Brae is now playing right guard.....and getting way more playing time at this position!

Poor Ella was SO cold - we dressed in snow clothes & still froze! But she looks super cute in her new coat!

Even Aunt Charz, Uncle Todd, Emma, & Kaelynn came to watch! So did Grandma & Grandpa.....Thanks guys! We love you!!
Tuesday, October 13th - Tyler had knee surgery. His knee has an impact fracture, a chunk of bone poking into his meniscus (sp?), tons of fluid & once they got in there, found a couple flaps of cartiledge just hanging there - that the surgeon had to "shave off"......ouch! He's recovering ok, but he's done ref'ing for the season.....which if you know Tyler, is sad.........he LOVES what he does & it's killing him to not ref! It's also very strange to have him home on Thurs., Fri., & Saturday nights in the fall!
Weds, October 14th - Brae still had practice despite Tyler's condition, but he couldn't be left alone for 2 days after his surgery...so we had great friends help out! Carson's family took him with them..........and Brae came home with the GLOVES!!! The coaching staff watches the boys each practice & game to see which ONE boy, out of all 4o stands out, as working the hardest! Of course Brae got it the day we weren't there! He is so excited - and is walking with a bit of a strut these days....lol! Football has been so amazing for his confidence! He's the next to youngest on his team & is working so hard & even plays ahead of boys a couple years older than him!

He's not cocky or anything..........ha!

Saturday October 17th, Connor isn't feeling so hot, so I stayed home today with him & Ella. Tyler braved the insane rain and took Zach & Brae to Zach's game. (Sorry, no pictures - there was no way I was going to ask him to carry a camera with his crutches!) Zach's team took a loss for their 2nd game.........13-20.
