They Are On FIRE!

Our rockstar....
Our Freak of Nature, lol.....his new nickname! :)
Our little angel, sometimes little stinker....
Oh yeah, he switch hits too...
Love him!
Yup, makin' his rounds around the bases...
He made 2 outs right in a row here at 1st base....
Outfield..quite the hazard...that rock pit right behind Connor was like a magnet for the balls...
Steppin' up at catcher...
another hit!
Swinging his heart out!

Let the Games Begin!

So after last summer with Connor playing t-ball & being bored out of his mind....we decided to have him play up a level. He's one of those kids that can just excel at ANY sport he tries. The beauty of this is that he could play on Brae's team. Man he is SO cute!
Brae has all of a sudden turned into an amazing baseball player....from last year where he could barely catch a ball....to now being the star player. He's an AMAZING 1st baseman, can throw with speed like no other, and crushes a ball with the 1st pitch!
We are so excited to see the season progress & watch them play!
Connor is such a cutie & was SO excited when he got his 1st hit!
The coach gives out a game ball each game....should be a fun season!

Rangers Team Party

Monday, Zach & Tyler's baseball team celebrated at Farrelli's Pizza in Sumner. The coaches collectively wanted something other than trophies...so we got LL baseballs & cases for them. I made name plates with the Rangers logo for their cases too....I think they turned out pretty cool!
Tyler had 3 assistants this year - Kurt Phelps was one of them. Tyler has known him most of his life - I think we figured out that it's been since he was 7 or so...

Brae's Last Game

Brae is #3, on the Yankees. That's him coming in at home plate! Brae is the funniest kid- he likes to get his hit on the first pitch, & gets really mad at himself if he doesn't - so you have to be paying attention when he goes up!He plays right or center field, and Catcher - he LOVES that!
His throw is getting better, he's come a long way this year! Man does this guy sweat....
Ella had discovered that Connor had brought a pack of gum.......and proceeded to finish off the pack....all at once!
There is no keeping our little princess clean when we're outside, so why would a baseball field be any different? Nope - she hunts out the dirtiest, messiest things she can find........and proceeds to end up wearing most of the dirt!
Supportive siblings..........
This shouldn't have been their last game, but the 2 teams they hadn't played yet. Brae's coach had heard that one of the teams didn't want to play us cuz they didn't want to lose.......too funny. This was a fun game though - they creamed the other team, which made it really fun since they go to school with most of the kids on the other team. Brae's friend Cory was on that team.

Daffodil Parade

So after baseball, the kids & I headed over to the Daffodil Parade. As we were walking over, we ran into the Joneses, so we watched the parade with them! The kids had fun. When we first stopped, a gentleman came up to us & gave us bunches of free daffodils, that they hadn't needed on their float! Score! Now my kitchen is cheery, & it made the kids day!
It was fun, but a very LONG parade. They go through a few towns, Puyallup, Spanaway, ending in Sumner (I know there is at least another town, but I can't recall now). Lots of marching bands, princess' for anything you could think of, and a lot of baseball themed floats - I guess the theme of the festival was "Swing into Spring". It was a very long day, but the kids had fun, and fell asleep FAST when we finally got them to bed! Tyler had a Husky Football scrimmage, so he left baseball around 11am & got to go "work".....I say it that way because he LOVES to ref!
The gorgeous daffodils we were given! Ella loved the Daffodil - she held it the entire parade! Sunday morning she woke up with her left eye almost swollen shut! Either the pollen from the flowers, or the aloe I put on her face for sunburn, but she's allergic to one of them!
The kids could see what floats were coming next from around the corner...
The Seafair Pirates gave the kids candy - gotta love that!
This crazy clown was a hit with Ella!

Boy Cousin Sleepover!!!, Baseball, & Pinewood Derby - a Busy 2 days!

There are 15 Goff grandkids, only 5 are boys -of which 3 are ours. :) So the boys decided they wanted their boy cousins to come have a sleepover - this was our weekend......
We started off going to Zach's 2nd game of the season - playing against a couple friends & a neighbor. It was Zach's first time pitching in a game - he did great! Tyler calls him his "Crafty Lefthander"! He only let one run in, and did a great job! It was one of the most nerve wracking experiences as his mom though.... watching him under so much pressure! Check out his form - he looks great - now to just get him more consistent! He told us later that this was him pitching to his friend, & he was afraid that he would hit him with a pitch! The kids had fun on the playground during most of the game - although Cannon would pause playing & come sit down and watch.....hmmm...I wonder who he gets that from :)? So on our way home from baseball, I had the funniest conversation with the boys! I told them that a neighbor had seen an entire herd of Elk in the lower part of our neighborhood the day before AND had found bear tracks.........so Jared proceeded to tell us how his dad hunts Cheetas and has been to Africa & hunted lions! We never knew!!! :) The boys had pizza & breadsticks for dinner (Ty & I enjoyed baked potato soup from Rachelle - thanks!)... Connor & Cannon playing DS's....in which Cannon said, "Cheese!" when he saw the camera....and then told Connor "You needs to smile when someone takes a picture!"
...so Connor smiled... All 5 boys, lined up on the couch for some DS time... They chose to sleep in the loft, so we put away all the toys....and this was the result....my boys argued on who got to sleep next to their cousins, but our solution - Brae across the top of all their heads....it worked out well! Saturday morning, Zach had his Pinewood Derby. Aparently the rest of his troop got their car kits over a month ago - we were just given his 1 1/2 weeks ago.....so Tyler & Zach worked hard to get it done....staying up quite a few late nights working on it last week.... Zach & his bud Evan... Cannon & Jared - the younger kids were allowed to lay down in front to watch the races.... Zach's first heat...his is the silver car - he chose that color "cuz it looks like metal Mom"... Taking 2nd in this heat.. Receiving his patch & car stand that Brother Mackely made for all the boys... His troop with their cars... Jared, Connor, & Cannon - sitting a top the train toy at the mall, running off some energy - the weather was horrible... ... The boys & Ella, making a train.....they would end up in one giant pile at the bottom!
Ella loved the slide, went down it over and over and over.....until she got stomped on twice by a big kid....so we called it quits. As we put their shoes back on - Lexi, Brit, & Taylor showed up with their Grandma Davies....it was fun to run into them, too bad Ella had already reached her meltdown point.... On our way home, it started to snow....yes at the end of March we are still getting snow! It's insane! This cute butt shot is of the boys watching it come down......(it actually started sticking & we ended up with a couple inches!) At my request, they made funny faces....but they are still so cute! About 10 minutes after the boys left Saturday....this was Connor!
We truly enjoyed having the boys over & they have already planned their next one - but they want it to sleep in our tent in the back yard! We need the weather to warm up!
