Daffodil Parade

So after baseball, the kids & I headed over to the Daffodil Parade. As we were walking over, we ran into the Joneses, so we watched the parade with them! The kids had fun. When we first stopped, a gentleman came up to us & gave us bunches of free daffodils, that they hadn't needed on their float! Score! Now my kitchen is cheery, & it made the kids day!
It was fun, but a very LONG parade. They go through a few towns, Puyallup, Spanaway, ending in Sumner (I know there is at least another town, but I can't recall now). Lots of marching bands, princess' for anything you could think of, and a lot of baseball themed floats - I guess the theme of the festival was "Swing into Spring". It was a very long day, but the kids had fun, and fell asleep FAST when we finally got them to bed! Tyler had a Husky Football scrimmage, so he left baseball around 11am & got to go "work".....I say it that way because he LOVES to ref!
The gorgeous daffodils we were given! Ella loved the Daffodil - she held it the entire parade! Sunday morning she woke up with her left eye almost swollen shut! Either the pollen from the flowers, or the aloe I put on her face for sunburn, but she's allergic to one of them!
The kids could see what floats were coming next from around the corner...
The Seafair Pirates gave the kids candy - gotta love that!
This crazy clown was a hit with Ella!

I think the parade goes tacoma, puyallup, sumner, orting! It is so much fun! Alexis thought the old cannery car with santa on it was so funny. She just didn't understand why santa was there! She held her flowers the whole time also! So much fun!
