On July 2nd (yes , I know I'm long over due posting this) we went camping with the fam........just a short distance from home, but SO worth it! We had a blast. Even Megan & Taner came out & stayed the first night! Brit-we missed you, sorry you had to work!
On the 3rd, Char & her family came out to visit.
This is why we go.........to spend time as a family & grow closer.......

Aunt Char did almost all the girls hair in this really cool new tying hairdo......(can't wait to do it for girls at camp!!!)....

Even Ella sat still for Aunt Charz............she would NEVER sit still that long for me! :)

So cute!!!!!

Connor was messing with Uncle Bret, so this was the result.........I think Bret likes it though, Connor is a tough little dude & can take it as well as he can dish it........

Ella & Jersie were so cute together, both calling out eachother's names as soon as we arrived......

We headed down to the river to play, cool off, & skip rocks..........

The kids were obsessed with trying to catch the tiny fish......

Always buddies, Connor & Brae.......

Taylor, Lexi, & Cady.......

Splashing eachother by throwing large rocks near where you were sitting or standing was the fun part of the day.......Carly & Taylor were NOT expecting this one...........hehehe......

Lexi, so cute............

Cady, always ready to pose for the camera, super cute too............

Connor LOVED being dunked head first by Uncle Chance.........over & over again!

mid-dunk............

Jersie & Brae.........

Ella & Jared deep in conversation............lol...

Later that afternoon, Grandma had brought all the stuff for the younger kids to make/paint their own 4th of July t-shirts.......the kids had a blast & they really turned out cute!!! They have the best Grandma ever!!!! She's so thoughtful & creative.........I hope our kids know how lucky they are!

Zach & Brae's shirts..............

Connor & Ella's..........Connor did almost all of it on his own, but asked for help in filling in the large star & writing his name........Ella's big blue star was a HUGE blue blob that I did "fix" & added the words...........

Grandma brought glow in the dark bracelets for the kids.......of course one of my boys would think to put it up his nose..........ugh........

The boys roasting marshmellows..............

The morning of the 4th........I almost didn't post this pic, but it's the ONLY proof I was really there....even if Ty did take it during breakfast when we first got up..........

Ella loved the trailer...........taking breaks when she got tired & wanted to watch her "Tinker" movie & play with her toys....

The boys playing laser tage & nerf guns, sporting their 4th of July shirts.......

Ella modeling hers...........first time I ever remember her posing for a pic!

Ella, Cady, & Lexi.......

Grandma brought bubbles...........

Ella getting the hang of it.............

Did she wet her pants......nope, just dumped Zach's entire bottle of bubbles on her lap!

Annette was laying down in Mom & Dad's trailer, so Jersie was entertaining me with the noisemakers............

Scooter time!..........

All the kids in their t-shirts..........thanks Grandma!!!!

The scooter crew.........notice the REALLY big one?

They were all about tricks.........

Connor was the first to master the power slide..............(also the first to do real push-ups, just ask him- he'd love to tell you all about it!)....

Not to be outdone by his younger brother.........Zach could do it over the handle bars.......

Standing up on his bike..........Zach's got good balance!

Ella was so tired......& getting crabby........so needed a nap.......and for some reason insisted on sitting on Jersie..........

The tantrum she threw when I told her to get off of Jersie........she sat down in slow motion & looked around to make sure she had an audience......

Heading back down to the river, it was SO hot out on the 4th!!!
Being dunked was the favorite activity this day......Brae & Uncle Rod......

Chance & Tyler dunking Carly........

The boys had brought their super soakers down to the river......this was just after Connor used his on Uncle Bret's back.........let's just say Bret was NOT HAPPY.......

Ella loved Daddy swinging her around in the water......

Skipping rocks...........

Grandma had brought stuff to make 4th of July hair clips too...........so this was Ella's.....

The kids playing red light - green light....on scooters & bikes.............

Celebrating our Independence with all the fun stuff Grandma brought........

So cute together.........

We originally had all planned to stay through the 5th, but Rod has a new calling :) , & he was being put in on the 5th.......so we all headed home on the evening of the 4th......we pulled into our neighborhood just in time for our big neighborhood fireworks show!

Sunday morning, we headed to Rod & Mel's ward to see Rod be put in their ward's Bishopric as the 2nd counselor. Rod, you'll do great, you're a kind, compassionate person - your ward is lucky to have you!
