This year the Easter Bunny is feeling the purse strings tighten, and kept the baskets small.... the boys all got a small lego set, a movie or DS game, & candy. Ella got little dress-up things, a Ariel Microphone that she has danced around the house ever since with.... The Easter Bunny got REALLY lucky finding things in the dollar section at Target for Ella! (love that store!)

Brae had been begging for Bed Time Stories.....I wonder how the Easter Bunny knew????

Zach was thrilled with his new DS game, he's in the loop on things now - so he thanked the "Easter Bunny" personally :).

Connor would be happy with anything & still hasn't realized that the Easter Bunny bought a movie we already have.....(I'll need to exchange that- oops!)

After the boys checked out their baskets, it was time to find all the eggs the Easter Bunny had hid.....cuz at our house, the Easter Bunny hides the eggs we dye. We did this before waking up Ella, cuz she was a bit of a grump the night before & could use all the sleep she could get!
Ella was adorable.....but pretty much only ate candy all day - she flat out refused regular food!

The kids asked me to make the cake pops - but I didn't have anything to put them in once they were on sticks, so I made them to go on a platter instead..... chicks & carrots........I was rushed, wish I'd had more time.....

Ella in her Easter dress before Church... the sweater was HUGE on her....of course I had saved it for Easter, to keep it nice & white......

Our handsome & beautiful children........our boys are such good sports wearing ties in colors they can't stand - they love their Mom (and when I said they would coordinate with El, they were ok with it!)

Ella - our little angel/stinker (depends on the mood)... but don't her bows look cute - custom made to match her dress by my friend Amber at
TallulahTwinkletoes!

After Church, we headed over to Annette & Chance's to celebrate with the family.... Cady & the rest of the girls pulled out the barbies..........Ella was in girl HEAVEN!!!

Somehow the girls talked Brae & Connor into playing with them - giving them the boys.....but when they realized I took a picture, they dropped them & refused to play.....sorry girls!

It was pouring rain when we got there, after dinner we got lucky & the rain stopped for awhile... Ella was just like Saturday, wanting to open the egg as soon as she picked it up & had to show everyone......finding just a couple eggs.......which was great - she DOESN'T need any more candy!

We all bring eggs for the hunt...and we always have TONS.....it used to be the dads that hid the eggs....this year the 4 oldest cousins & Tanner :) hid the eggs.....

Ella kept saying "look" and would squeal when she shook it - cuz that meant CANDY!!!

Jersie did the same thing...but was perfectly content to just sit down & start eating her candy!

the bigger kids...

All the cousins that hunted for eggs.........they are such a good looking bunch! Tyler & I talked afterwards that next year Zach should help hide & not hunt.....didn't even think about that before hand.......

The new solution to playing - boys in Cannon's room, girls in Cady's.........too funny!

Ella & Jersie getting into Easter grass............ they were a riot - dancing around Jersie's stroller, great entertainment!

It was a wonderful Easter. It is easy to get caught up in all the commercial stuff, but we are truly grateful for the Savior, his Resurrection, and the example he set for us. I know I am no where close to perfect & have a lot to work on, but through Christ & the Gospel, I can do all things.

Looks like lots of Easter fun! What's your current email address? I am going to do your gift from the "fabulous" contest and need some info. from you! ;-)
I know a couple people have asked where Ella's dress is from - no, it's not Target. It's a Gap dress.
