It's Baseball Season!

Both Zach & Braeden's baseball season began a couple weeks ago. Tyler is coaching Zach's team this year. It should be a fun season - he has 4 assistants, all who know baseball - they are a really solid team & learning a TON! One of his assistants Tyler has known since he was 7 (and has been a HS baseball coach in Kent). Quite the change from last year when Tyler had to take over as coach with 5 games left for Zach's team (all due to a crazy coach that hit his own kid during a game, blamed us for it, & is banned from LL for life)!

Zach is on the Texas Rangers this year, and has been pitching, so it should be fun to watch - they have 4 boys that are quite solid as pitchers. He also plays right field....he's got an arm & can throw really far! He & Tyler are having fun & I think they have finally figured out how to get along as dad & son while being coach & player!

Braeden is on the Yankee's again - playing for the same coach as last year (Zach even played on this team a few years ago), so we know most of the families & it's a fun time. He played up last year - it's a coach-pitch team. Brae is catching the ball now with ease & is definately one of the strong players on the team.

Connor is old enough for t-ball, but we just couldn't spend the $ on LL t-ball, so he'll play this summer in the parks-rec league instead. He'll be playing indoor soccer starting next month instead. With our crazy weather, a reprieve from rainy baseball games will be nice!

Saturday was the first practice that I didn't see dark clouds looming over the boys - it was chilly, but at least the sun was shining! Here's Brae warming up...
