So our ward Christmas party this year was "A Night in Bethlehem" - great concept, frustrating outcome for parents with young kids.... The activities committee did an amazing job in decorating & running with the theme....I'm just tired of sitting on the floor (we had to at our Halloween party too). They had tables for those people who they thought needed it, which was nice for them- but when you have a toddler, & even a 4yr.old (they can't balance a plate & eat at the same time....so they get frustrated & end up not eating......) & both you & your hubby have had back surgeries (where it's painful to sit on the floor)....it was not an easy night. The program itself was nice, the music was beautiful & of course brought home the true meaning of Christmas - a great reminder for our kids always!! The crafts were cute, the boys liked going home with ornaments they made & seeing Santa at the end totally topped off the night well. Best of all - when we left to go home....it was snowing - yeah!
