So for the past 3 years, Connor has screamed the minute we get close to Santa. It's our tradition to go as a family to see him every year. We stop at Hickory Farms, and get a bite to eat too. So this year we had a long talk with Connor before we left the house....talked about what a big boy he is, & that Santa is just like Grandpa, with a beard :>). He said, "I won't cry, I'm not scared anymore Mom." So when we got to the mall, he grabbed my hand & whispered in my ear that his tummy hurt & that he was nervous...then proceeded to tell me he would just stand next to Santa, but was NOT going to sit on his lap! (He's so cute!) I reassured him that just Ella would be on his lap, & that sounded ok to him!
Our other concern of course was Ella.....she's had quite the atttitude lately, & is always total drama...but she did ok. But let me explain.....her eyes were HUGE as she peeked through the fence as Santa...when I put her on his lap, she sat as stiff as a board & gripped Santa's fingers with each hand as tight as she could....& gave us her 'look'.
As you can see, Connor did great! We had fun, headed to Red Robin, where Ella continued her attitude...throwing crayons, but in the end was covered in Ranch -full of fries & chicken. The boys have always been good in public, what is with our little girl?
